En colaboración con el Departamento de Historia Económica e Instituciones de la Universidad Carlos III, Instituto Laureano Figuerola organiza una serie de Seminarios y Workshops de Historia Económica, que son un foro de discusión académica desde 1990. Su formato es parecido al de Harvard o al de la London School of Economics. Desde 2003 el ILF también organiza un programa de Master en Desarrollo Económico.
