Call for Talent Grants attached to Research Institutes at Institute for Advanced Research in Business and Economics (INARBE) of Universidad Pública de Navarra


Institute for Advanced Research in Business and Economics (INARBE) of Universidad Pública de Navarra (Public University of Navarre, Spain) is seeking to appoint two (2) talented Postdoctoral Researchers to work for two (2) years in any of its research lines:Economic analysis of organisations and business strategies, Economic market analysis and Analysis of public policies, Economic History


The purpose of the talent grants is to reinforce and consolidate the research activity of the Research Institutes, focusing this activity towards excellence in research. They are therefore aimed at researchers with proven postdoctoral experience of at least two years.

Interested applicants need to submit and defence a Research Project Proposal in line with the Institute’s lines of research as a part of their applications.



A fulltime position as a Postdoctroral Researcher for 2 years

A dynamic and stimulating research environment

Collaboration with research groups within the Institute of Smart Cities and Universidad Pública de Navarra and the Regional Innvoation System of Navarre.

€31,200 gross income per year (corresponding to 12 monthly payments of €2,600 gross income)

Financial allocation of €10,000 to help the development of the research Project

The beneficiaries of the grants will receive the labour and social security benefits included in the signed contract.

Eligibility criteria

General requirements:

  • Proven postdoctoral experience of at least two years: postdoctoral contracts or grants or postdoctoral stays at research centres.
  • Having completed a postdoctoral research stay outside the Public University of Navarre for at least 6 months.
  • To not have exceeded three years with a contract under the protection of Article 22 of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation, on the starting date of the contract included in this call

All applicants should be able to communicate, read and write correctly in English and/or Spanish.

Selection process

The recruitment process will be carried out by Universidad Pública de Navarra.

It will consist of the assessment of the candidate’s curricular merits (75%) in areas related to INARBE, in accordance of the scale established below and the presentation and defence of the research Project (25%) in line with the Institute’s lines of research

Evaluation scale (curricular merits) 

  1. Publications indexed in the Journal Citation Report (JCR), as well as in the Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR), in areas related to INARBE (50%)
  2. Participation in research projects with public or private funding, with particular importance placed on having held the position of principal investigator (10%)
  3. Other merits (15%)
