http://www.lse.ac.uk/Economic-History/Seminars/Graduate-Economic-History-Seminars

The Department of Economic History at LSE is now inviting external papers for its Graduate Economic History Seminars for the Michaelmas Term 2019. The seminar runs weekly in term times on Wednesday from 1 to 2pm and is attended regularly by faculty and department research students. The format is a 30-minute presentation, with a minimum of 30 minutes for questions and discussion.

The workshop is ideal for those in the final year of their PhD work who wish to expose their research to an audience of peers and senior academics and test ideas and methodologies prior to completion of their thesis.

To apply to speak in Michaelmas term 2019 (Monday 30 September – Friday 13 December 2019), please submit an abstract of your paper (approx. 500 words) with details on methodology and sources to workshop convenors Mario Cuenda Garcia (m.cuenda-garcia@lse.ac.uk), Sam Betteridge (s.r.betteridge@lse.ac.uk) and Juliana Jaramillo (j.jaramillo1@lse.ac.uk) by Thursday 1st of August 2019. Please also indicate which dates you would be available to present, your thesis title, institutional affiliation and an expected submission date of your PhD. We will contact those applying by mid-August.

Calls for Papers for Lent & Summer Term in 2020 will be posted at later dates.
